253842 Spazstatic: @Mad Collager faker

253831 Mad Collager: @a robot As others have said, protest. It may not seem like much, but it really can make a difference. Also, a fellow protestor told me to write letters to whatever shithead department is doing what angers you most. Not e-mails, but real, paper letters. She said they HAVE to respond to letters, and it slows them down, so they don't have as much time to do their shitty stuff.

253826 AlexDeLarge: Longcat's owner

254048 Teechur: @Mad Collager It's like trying to match paint on a fence or house after a few years.

254085 Bill Rye: this malicious spider will come for us all!

253899 White Rice: @AlexDeLarge well, that's what the clickbait sites kept trying to "report" for a while (and diamonds, styrofoam cups, and a bunch of other random things)

254154 ChubbyBuddy: Drain the swamp

253849 copunter: I thought this was the El Kabong version of the ole bucket over the door gag

254138 Knice: @Whatever ME

253821 Wooden Spoon: @Laree: of course its found in Australia.

Jabberwikket: The new Trumpsurance brought to you by the makers of Trumpcare
bug: @Mr. Whiskers Yeah, I didn't actually do my homework for that one.
Mr. Whiskers: @bug Thats a shade over one ten-thousandth of the US debt
bug: Did you know that switching to Geico could save you 15 percent, but also possibly pay for most of the US's debt?
Flarmie: @rockkstar Too bad it's grayed out. I think Geico is taunting.

tib gubb: what is this, the early 2000's?
Punt Numbles: @WaffleIron Package manager did make it easier, but not as easy as just downloading an installer and launching that. Package manager did offer an excellent search function, though. Now of course I dont even have the option of package manager because my preferred version of Ubuntu is no longer supported
WaffleIron: @Felicity : I find the package managers to be fantastically easy, but I HAVE recompiled my own kernel a few times, so that might skew my "Easy scale" a little.
GTA VII: This was much closer to my Linux experience sixteen years ago. Since my father installed Ubuntu (and later Mint) I have found Linux to be as user-friendly as Windows and Macintosh. The only thing that still bothers me is that you cant just download an installer and activate it; you either have to go through package manager or have some other arcane CLI way of doing it
suckit: @Ulillillia Still sounds more successful than me
 mrwiffler: Pretty much.
addend: That's your punishment for trying to get a free OS on a home PC.
grizzly: @Ulillillia chosen! Will watch trainspotting!
mwoody: I actually know a professor who required students to code their own compiler for a Pascal class within the first month. Every single student dropped the class.
Dreforian: Pfft, I've got at least 15 of years falling asleep to the sound of whirring fans under my belt!
jochenau: I did a basic Linux Mint install for my grandpa and it's been great...he can do email and get the photos from his digital camera, and visiting family members don't download crap and change all the settings. But yeah, this is probably a more typical Linux experience.
RiderFan: Did you power cycle the computer?
Coolguy: @Ulillillia whoa... you still choose compact discs?
Ulillillia: Choose Life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose a fucking big television, choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players and electrical tin openers. Choose good health, low cholesterol, and dental insurance. Choose fixed interest mortgage repayments. Choose a starter home. Choose your friends. Choose leisurewear and matching luggage. Choose a three-piece suit on hire purchase in a range of fucking fabrics. Choose DIY and wondering who the fuck you are on Sunday morning. Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing, spirit-crushing game shows, stuffing fucking junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pissing your last in a miserable home, nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, fucked up brats you spawned to replace yours
